ORGATEC India 2026 to Drive Workplace Transformation Through Design and Technology

ORGATEC India 2026 will bring workplace leaders to Mumbai from November 19–21 under its WorkNXT theme, connecting design, technology and employee experience as India's office market expands and organisations rethink workplace strategies.

India’s office market is entering a new phase as organisations increasingly prioritise flexibility, technology, sustainability and employee experience alongside workspace expansion. Against this backdrop, ORGATEC India 2026 will bring architects, designers, corporate real estate leaders, manufacturers, technology providers and facility managers together in Mumbai to explore how workplaces are being designed, developed and managed.

Titled “WorkNXT – Design × Technology × Experiences”, the second edition of the exhibition will take place from 19–21 November 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC), BKC, Mumbai, India. Organised by Koelnmesse India Pvt. Ltd., the event will focus on the changing requirements of India's workplace ecosystem and the growing convergence of design, technology and workplace experience.

India recorded 45.5 million sq. ft. of office space absorption in H1 2026, the highest first-half figure on record. Demand from Global Capability Centers (GCCs), flexible workspace operators and large domestic occupiers continues to accelerate. According to the CBRE 2026 India Office Occupier Survey, 77% of occupiers expect their office portfolios to expand over the next two years. The figures underline the continued importance of physical workplaces, provided they are designed to be adaptable, intelligent and experience-led.

ORGATEC India Positions Itself as a Workplace Industry Platform

ORGATEC India is positioned as the country's only dedicated trade platform for workplace design, furniture, infrastructure and technology. It brings together professionals and businesses involved in different stages of workplace development, creating opportunities for architects, designers, corporate real estate leaders, manufacturers, technology providers and facility managers to exchange knowledge and align their approaches.

WorkNXT Connects Six Stages of Workplace Development

The growing complexity of workplace projects has made collaboration across multiple disciplines increasingly important. Furniture, lighting, acoustics, technology, facility management and employee experience are no longer treated as separate considerations. Architects, designers, corporate real estate and procurement teams, manufacturers, technology providers and facility managers now contribute at different stages of the same project.

ORGATEC India's 2026 theme, WorkNXT, reflects this interconnected approach through six stages: Design, Specify, Procure, Build, Operate and Experience.

The Design stage examines how spaces can respond to changing workstyles, people and business requirements. Specify focuses on translating workplace objectives into appropriate furniture, materials, technology and performance standards. Procure addresses the need to balance quality, cost, availability, sustainability and long-term value.

Build explores how workplace concepts can be converted into adaptable, technology-enabled and future-ready environments. Operate focuses on integrating facilities, technology, data and services to improve efficiency, responsiveness and sustainability. Experience examines what workplaces enable people to do, how they make people feel and why employees would want to return.

Through its exhibition and knowledge programme, WorkNXT will connect these six stages through product discovery, knowledge exchange, expert discussions and business engagement. The approach brings together professionals who design and specify workplaces with those responsible for procurement, construction, operations and the overall workplace experience.

Manoj Nandiot Explains the Vision Behind WorkNXT

Manoj Nandiot, Portfolio Director, Koelnmesse Pvt. Ltd., said the theme was developed to expand India's workplace conversation beyond individual products and square footage and examine how design, technology and experience function together across the entire workplace journey.

“When we set out to shape WorkNXT as this year’s theme, the idea was to move India’s workplace conversation beyond individual products and square footage, and look at the workplace as one connected journey where design, technology and experience are working together, end to end. India’s office market is entering a defining decade, and what the industry needs now isn’t just a platform to showcase what already exists, but one that helps shape what comes next. That’s the role ORGATEC India is built to play — bringing together the architects, designers, manufacturers and technology providers who will define how India works, tomorrow,” Nandiot said.

Workplace Experience Becomes Central to Design Decisions

Workplace experience is gaining greater importance in organisational strategy, with modern offices increasingly assessed on their ability to support collaboration, focus, creativity, wellbeing and organisational culture, in addition to utilisation and operational efficiency.

This shift is bringing acoustics, ergonomics, lighting, office furniture, workplace technology, flexibility, sustainability and hospitality-inspired amenities into a more integrated approach to workplace planning. Experience is increasingly influencing decisions at the design stage rather than being treated as an element to add after the core workspace has been developed.

For ORGATEC India, this reflects a broader evolution in the Indian workplace ecosystem, where the focus is moving beyond individual products towards the performance of the complete working environment.

Leading Brands Confirm Participation in ORGATEC India 2026

The exhibition's participating brands include Haworth, Kokuyo, Univicoustic, Interio by Godrej, Featherlite and Nilkamal Edge, alongside other segment leaders. Their participation spans office furniture, ergonomic seating, acoustics, lighting and workplace technology.

The presence of these brands will give visitors access to products and solutions from Indian and global manufacturers, alongside the exhibition's knowledge programme. The combination is intended to connect product discovery with discussions on the evolving requirements of workplace design and management.

Exhibition to Cover Furniture, Smart Technology and Future Workspaces

Across three days, ORGATEC India 2026 will cover workplace design, office and ergonomic furniture, workplace infrastructure, lighting, acoustics, flooring and materials, smart workplace technology, automation and the Internet of Things (IoT), facility and workplace management solutions, collaboration tools and future workspace technologies.

The event will also feature a dedicated knowledge platform with keynote sessions and panel discussions involving architects, designers and workplace strategists.

Professionals working in architecture and interior design, corporate real estate, procurement, facility and workplace management, workplace technology, real estate, GCCs and flexible workspace will have opportunities to discover solutions, connect with suppliers, explore new ideas and develop business relationships across the workplace ecosystem.

The second edition of ORGATEC India will occupy 10,000 sq. m. at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from 19–21 November 2026. With its WorkNXT theme linking design, technology and experience, the exhibition will bring together stakeholders across the workplace value chain to address the requirements of India's evolving office market.

ORGATEC India is a dedicated trade platform for workplace design, office furniture, workplace infrastructure, smart workplace technology and future workspace solutions. Organised by Koelnmesse Pvt. Ltd., it connects architects, interior designers, corporate real estate professionals, facility managers, technology providers, manufacturers and workplace strategists.
